Raleigh Magazine Profiles BLOOMHERE Founder Melinda Taylor

Our fierce and inspiring founder Melinda Taylor was featured in the November issue of Raleigh Magazine! Taylor was profiled by Jennifer Martin, executive director of Shop Local Raleigh, who wrote about Taylor’s previous corporate career working for a multi-million-dollar haircare company, and how she gave it up to start nonprofit BLOOMHERE as a way to give back to women who needed help healing and caring for themselves.

“BLOOMHERE is helping women to heal from their past with dignity,” Taylor shares. “I am continually so humbled by the process and found a gift of love and understanding and compassion. I thought living my purpose would be so easy, and it’s not. Having run a $25 million-dollar company doesn’t even compete with what I’m doing today.”

The feature is part of an ongoing column Martin writes for the magazine on female entrepreneurs who are getting the job done and paving the way for future female leaders in Raleigh.
