About Crystal

My name is Crystal Moore I am a woman in long term recovery I have a sponsor and my sobriety date is September 8, 2017. I have been homeless, in and out of jail, lost my children and went to rehab at the Healing Transitions for women. I stayed in this program for 7 months and then moved into on Oxford House. While in the Oxford House I was able to get my license back and enroll in school for Substance Abuse Counseling. Oxford House is transitional housing for people in recovery in which I held a few positions. I am now North Carolina state secretary for Oxford House Inc., this is a volunteer position. I have recently moved into my own townhouse with my fiancé and a friend. I decided to become a Peer Support Specialist to get some experience with the field of work I was going into. I am passionate about this field of work. I obtained my Peer Support, Wrap, and Recovery Coach certificate. I attend Wake Tech for my associates in the Substance Abuse field. I have worked for a Mental Health facility as a Peer Support Specialist and was able to learn some helpful things. During this time, I received my have my Medication Aide License, CPR certification, Seizure Management Training, NCI+ РPrevention, and Diabetes Training. I have been able to go from having nothing to working towards my dreams. I have also started a relationship with my oldest daughter and my other family. My youngest daughter now lives with me and this is all possible with being in recovery.
