About Nam

Nam Douglass is an immigration attorney who focuses her career on providing personalized customer service and knowledgeable advice to her clients. She works with immigrants who have been victims of crimes, domestic violence and trafficking as well as with businesses and family members seeking to sponsor foreign national employees and loved ones. She is an active member of the National and North Carolina’s Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has been sworn in before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Nam’s law degree is complemented by a B.A. in History with a minor in Economics and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, both from Virginia Tech. Prior to law school she was employed by a statewide non-profit which focuses on community, economic and business development issues where she worked with local businesses, community groups and leaders across the state.

Nam and her family have lived in Raleigh since 1998. She is a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, coordinates a breakfast ministry at the Helen Wright Center for Homeless Women, and practices Tae Kwon Do in efforts to keep up with her children. Nam’s passion for supporting victims coupled with her extensive professional experience make her a vital member of the BLOOMHERE Executive Board of Directors.
