About Natalie

Natalie is a North Carolina native and self-proclaimed Tar-Heel fan. Her interest in the helping field comes directly from her own personal journey in overcoming some of life’s toughest obstacles.

Natalie attended Wake Technical Community College where she earned a Certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling and later inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor’s Society where she graduated with honors with an Associates in Human Services Technology Substance Abuse Counseling. Along the way Natalie has had the pleasure of working at Healing- Transitions women’s campus of Wake County where she served as a Recovery Engagement Specialist overseeing their overnight shelter and non-medical detox unit.

Natalie is also a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist and served as a Peer Support Specialist at Fellowship Health Resources, Raleigh NC. While at FHR, she assisted clients with resources, worked closely with UNC Wakebrook Alcohol Drug Unit to assist with referrals for continued care and facilitated Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient groups.

Natalie is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Intern where she recently passed the North Carolina State Board Examination and looks forward to completing her clinical supervision hours soon. She is a member of the Wake County Overdose Prevention Coalition and currently enrolled at Liberty University Online School of Social Work.

Natalie was introduced to BloomHere right before their doors opened and quickly hopped on board by
volunteering rides for the new residents to attend services at FHR. Since then, she has continued to
support BloomHere’s vision and loves to serve as Program Director.
